a Better explanation of Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Thank you Texas Heart Institute! Your explanation is much more clearer than what I could've ever explained... LOL. Clearly I don't understand much of my condition... so obviously its hard for me to explain to anyone else. I mean... I guess its that serious that I needed to undergo surgery to receive an ICD (Implantable Cardio Defibrillator- see previous post). Dilated Cardiomyopathy.. pfft! I know my doc has said those words to me before... several times... apparently I was practicing my selective hearing at those times. I also sneaked a peak at my record while he stepped out of the room... and most if not all was gibberish... but those words "Dilated Cardiomyopathy" was recognizable. Denial you say... its possible... I am still trying to wrap my head around all of this. Oh... and while we're speaking about it... here's a pic of my new battle wound. It's not the greatest pic... but yeah. It's disgustingly ugly to me... maybe that'll change in time. I was hoping to get a tattoo to cover it... but no such luck. Several years from now I'll need to undergo surgery again and that scar is where they'll be cutting... again. *sad face* I do have an appointment with my cardiologist today... so we'll see what he has in store going forward now. Maybe I'll post again after the visit to the doc's office. Until then... I'll leave with you a post Valentine's Day video... one of my new fave covers.. LOL!
